摘要:

中国的动态频谱接入(DSA)需要定量分析目前频谱在频率、时间和空间维度的利用率。为了充分利用宝贵的频谱资源,频谱管理机构对于频谱的使用地点、如何使用频谱、谁正在使用频谱,必须有一个清晰的、细节的、最新的理解,该理解对在基于认知无线电(CR)意义上制定正确的频谱政策决策具有重要意义。本文介绍了在华南地区利用数字宽带接收机进行的并行频谱测量(频率范围是20MHz到3GHz),来评估实际的频谱占用情况。文中提出了系统性的频谱测量方法、矩阵格式的数据存储方式、占空比评价机制以及频谱数据挖掘方法,来指导未来的频谱测量研究活动。通过对4个不同地点的频谱进行定量分析和特征描述,来促进CR技术在中国的广泛应用。用测量数据对一个统一的Beta分布信道占用模型进行了验证。结果证明存在大量的可释放频谱用于免授权的CR技术中。

Abstract:

Dynamic spectrum access (DSA) in China requires a quantitative analysis of the current spectrum utilization in frequency, temporal and spatial domains. In order to free the precious spectrum, spectrum regulation organizations must have a clear, detailed, up-to-date understanding of where, how and by whom spectrum is currently being used—such data is essential to sound policy decisions in the context of Cognitive Radio (CR). In this paper, a concurrent spectrum occupancy measurement was conducted in South China to evaluate the practical spectrum occupancy with a digital wideband receiver covering 20MHz to 3GHz. Systemic spectrum measurement method, matrix format data storage, Duty Cycle evaluation metric and data mining process are provided to further facilitate other researchers’ following spectrum measurement campaigns. Quantitative analysis and characterization of the 4 different measurement locations are evaluated to promote the popularization of CR application in China. And a uniform Beta distribution channel occupancy model is also validated using real-scene measurement data. The obtained results demonstrate that there is significant scope for license-exemption use of the released spectrum using CR technology.
