Abstract: This article provides a framework e within which the revenue-sharing in mobile value-added services can be analyzed. It shows that the revenue-sharing ratio between a network operator and a content provider (CP) has no significant effect on prices, market shares or social welfare in the case of nonstandardization. This implies that the revenue-sharing ratio cannot be used as a policy variable.
