The output of each individual channel in multi-carrier system can be processed to detect moving targets by the approach used in tradition narrowband pulse Doppler (PD) radar and then using non-coherent integration to promote signal noise ratio (SNR). However, due to the difference of Doppler on sub-carriers, there occurs Doppler dispersion during non-coherent integration, which causes attenuation and extension on target’s amplitude. Especially, it can deteriorate performance of target detection under wideband multicarrier system or fast-moving target scene. In this paper, a modified Fourier transform kernel is proposed to solve Doppler dispersion for multi-carrier chirp signal. It can achieve accumulation at the same frequency point for the target’s Doppler of each subcarrier. The simulation results indicate that this method can effectively eliminate the integral loss caused by Doppler dispersion.

In order to make full use of the radio resource of heterogeneous wireless networks (HWNs) and promote the quality of service (QoS) of multi-homing users for video communication, a bandwidth allocation algorithm based on multi-radio access is proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithm adopts an improved distributed common radio resource management (DCRRM) model which can reduce the signaling overhead sufficiently. This scheme can be divided into two phases. In the first phase, candidate network set of each user is obtained according to the received signal strength (RSS). And the simple additive weighted (SAW) method is employed to determine the active network set. In the second phase, the utility optimization problem is formulated by linear combining of the video communication satisfaction model, cost model and energy efficiency model. And finding the optimal bandwidth allocation scheme with Lagrange multiplier method and Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm promotes the network load performances and guarantees that users obtain the best joint utility under current situation.

Fixed-point algorithms are widely used for independent component analysis (ICA) owing to its good convergence. However, most existing complex fixed-point ICA algorithms are limited to the case of circular sources and result in phase ambiguity, that restrict the practical applications of ICA. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a two-stage fixed-point ICA (TS-FPICA) algorithm which considers complex signal model. In this algorithm, the complex signal model is converted into a new real signal model by utilizing the circular coefficients contained in the pseudo-covariance matrix. The algorithm is thus valid to noncircular sources. Moreover, the ICA problem under the new model is formulated as a constrained optimization problem, and the real fixed-point iteration is employed to solve it. In this way, the phase ambiguity resulted by the complex ICA is avoided. The computational complexity and convergence property of TS-FPICA are both analyzed theoretically. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has better separation performance and without phase ambiguity in separated signals compared with other algorithms. TS-FPICA convergences nearly fast as the other fixed-point algorithms, but far faster than the joint diagonalization method, e.g. joint approximate diagonalization of eigenmatrices (JADE).

Mobile data traffic is going through an explosive growth recently as mobile smart devices become more and more ubiquitous, causing huge pressure on cellular network. Taking advantage of its low cost and easy-to-deploy feature, wireless local-area networks (WLAN) becomes increasingly popular to offload data streams from cellular network, followed by higher and higher density of its deployment. However, the high density of WLAN will cause more interference, which results in degradation of its performance. Therefore, in order to enhance the performance of the network, we aim to minimize the interference caused by high density of WLAN. In this paper, we propose a novel power control scheme to achieve the above aim. We use the quality of experience (QoE) evaluation to coordinate the power of each access point (AP) and finally realize the optimization of the entire network. According to the simulation results, our scheme improves the performance of the network significantly in many aspects, including throughput and QoE.

Research on existing radio frequency identification (RFID) authentication protocols security risks, poor performance and other problems, a RFID security authentication protocol based on dynamic identification (ID) and Key value renewal is proposed. Meanwhile, the security problems based on Hash function RFID security authentication protocol in recent years have been also sorted and analyzed. Then a security model to design and analyze RFID protocols is built. By using the computational complexity, its correctness and security have been proved. Compared with the safety performance, storage overhead, computational overhead and other aspects of other protocols, the protocol for RFID has more efficient performance and ability to withstand various attacks. And the C# programming language is used to simulate the authentication process on the visual studio platform, which verifies the feasibility of the protocol.

Quality of experience (QoE) has been one of the most important factors for service providers and operators to develop and deploy services. Previous works have shown that Weber-Fechner law (WFL) can be used to promote the accuracy of best-effort (BE) services’ QoE assessment. In this paper, based on WFL, we take a deep insight into the visual information of BE services and its role in WFL, especially in web browsing services, and propose an enhanced QoE assessment model for BE services by taking the visual information into account. Both images and texts visual information are extracted and combined to get the visual information for web pages. Finally, a subjective experiment is performed to validate performance of proposed QoE assessment model, which shows that it performs better than traditional WFL based model.

To cope with the explosive data demands, offloading cellular traffic through mobile social networks (MSNs) has become a promising approach to alleviate traffic load. Indeed, the repeated data transmission results in a great deal of unnecessary traffic. Existing solutions generally adopt proactive caching and achieve traffic shifting by exploiting opportunistic contacts. The key challenge to maximize the offloading utility needs leveraging the trade-off between the offloaded traffic and the users’ delay requirement. Since current caching scheme rarely address this challenge, in this paper, we first quantitatively interpret the offloading revenues on the cellular operator side associated with the scale of caching users, then develop a centralized caching protocol to maximize the offloading revenues, which includes the selective algorithm of caching location based on set-cover, the cached-data dissemination strategy based on multi-path routing and the cache replacement policy based on data popularity. The experimental results on real-world mobility traces show that the proposed caching protocol outperforms existing schemes in offloading scenario.

Vehicular Ad-hoc networks (VANETs) are kinds of mobile Ad-hoc networks (MANETs), which consist of mobile vehicles with on-board units (OBUs) and roadside units (RSUs). With the rapid development of computation and communication technologies, peripheral or incremental changes in VANETs evolve into a revolution in process. Cloud computing as a solution has been deployed to satisfy vehicles in VANETs which are expected to require resources (such as computing, storage and networking). Recently, with special requirements of mobility, location awareness, and low latency, there has been growing interest in research into the role of fog computing in VANETs. The merging of fog computing with VANETs opens an area of possibilities for applications and services on the edge of the cloud computing. Fog computing deploys highly virtualized computing and communication facilities at the proximity of mobile vehicles in VANET. Mobile vehicles in VANET can also demand services of low-latency and short-distance local connections via fog computing. This paper presents the current state of the research and future perspectives of fog computing in VANETs. Moreover, we discuss the characteristics of fog computing and services based on fog computing platform provided for VANETs. In this paper, some opportunities for challenges and issues are mentioned, related techniques that need to be considered have been discussed in the context of fog computing in VANETs. Finally, we discuss about research directions of potential future work for fog computing in VANETs. Within this article, readers can have a more thorough understanding of fog computing for VANETs and the trends in this domain.

This paper proposes a novel high-power supply rejection ratio (high-PSRR) high-order curvature-compensated CMOS bandgap voltage reference (BGR) in SMIC 0.18 μm CMOS process. Three kinds of current are added to a conventional BGR in order to improve the temperature drift within wider temperature range, which include a piecewise-curvature- corrected current in high temperature range, a piecewise-curvature-corrected current in low temperature range and a proportional-to-absolute-temperature current. The high-PSRR characteristic of the proposed BGR is achieved by adopting the technique of pre-regulator. Simulation results shows that the temperature coefficient of the proposed BGR with pre-regulator is /°C from 55 °C to 125 °C with a 1.8 V power supply voltage. The proposed BGR with pre-regulator achieves PSRR of 123.51 dB, 123.52 dB, 88.5 dB and 50.23 dB at 1 Hz, 100 Hz, 100 kHz and 1 MHz respectively.

In order to increase the usefulness of pulsed current source in engineering practice, research and study was carried out on how to increase the pulse current amplitude, reduce the rise /fall time of output pulse and MOSFET switching losses, etc. Through the analysis of the pulsed current source works theory and the mathematical derivation of the circuit model, the deduction and calculation of the pulse edge compression control methods, and improve the overall circuit structure and optimize the manufacturing process according to the theory. The following indicators was realized: the output pulse current amplitude can be up to 100 A, the shortest pulse rise / fall time was 18.8 ns and 16.1 ns respectively when the maximum amplitude output, the pulse width could be narrowest to 40 ns, repetition frequency could achieve 10 Hz to 10 kHz, MOSFET switching losses decreased by 30.9 %. This pulsed current source can be used, not only as the power supply for the ordinary high speed narrow pulse width laser diode, but also as an ideal drive power for the high energy, narrow width pulse laser diode.

In order to solve navigation problem of intelligent vehicle driving on urban roads and to achieve the navigation in intersection area, intersection transition area and section area. The relay navigation strategy and algorithm can solve the navigation problem of intelligent vehicle driving in typical urban roads such as intersection area, intersection transition area and section area, realizing seamless handover among different typical areas. Bezier curve function model was introduced to different typical areas, which solved the self-adaption recognition problem in different typical areas and revised positional accuracy with the help of cloud computing positioning service. In order to explain the strategy implement, an instance based on the strategy was adopted. Instance analysis indicates that as for the navigation problem in intersection area, intersection transition area and section area, if the relay navigation strategy is utilized, the self-adaption recognition problem in different typical areas can be handled. Based on the relay navigation strategy, the drive of intelligent vehicle on urban roads can effectively solve the self-adaption recognition problem in different typical areas in urban and further solve driving problems of intelligent vehicle of the same category in urban roads.

Aimed to enhance the supporting ability for diversified services, this paper proposes a hierarchy echo state network (HESE) based service-awareness (SA) (HESN-SA) mechanism in 10 Gbit/s Ethernet passive optical network (10G-EPON). In this HESN-SA, hierarchy architecture is adopted to realize echo state network (ESN) classification based SA. According to the network architecture of 10G-EPON, the parent-ESN (p-ESN) module works in the optical line terminal (OLT), while the sub-ESN (s-ESN) module is embedded in optical network units (ONUs). Thus, the p-ESN plays the main function of SA with a total view of this system, and s-ESN in each ONU conducts the SA function under the control of p-ESN. Thus, resources allocation and transport policy are both determined by the proposed mechanism through cooperation between OLT and ONUs. Simulation results show that the HESN-SA can improve the supporting ability for multiple services.
